As of January 1, 2009 Heinz Sommerbauer has assumed his position as new managing Director of Austro Control. He has been with Austro Control since 1995 and initially was Head of International Affairs. In 2000 he became General Secretary, where his responsibilities included corporate strategy, communications, customer relations, environmental affairs and the development of new services. 

Johann ZEMSKY
Managing Director

Johann Zemsky joined the Austro Control Managing
Board in 1999. A lawyer by training, he previously
worked for the Federal Office of Civil Aviation, where
he became an air traffic controller. He subsequently
joined the Supreme Austrian Civil Aviation Authority.
