Where you can find us:
The ATC/ATS unit Graz - with Selfbriefing, TWR and APP - is located in the new Tower-building 100 meters east of the airport terminal. The entrance is on the northern side.
- By car:
- ... from Graz: follow the "Triesterstrasse" direction south and follow the traffic signs "Flughafen Graz" to the airport;
- ... via A2: leave the highway A2 at exit "Flughafen Graz" (new exit between the exits "Graz Ost" and "Graz West");
- ... via A9: leave the highway A9 at exit "Kalsdorf, Flughafen Graz" and follow the traffic signs "Flughafen Graz" to the airport.
- By train:
- ... join the train at "Hauptbahnhof Graz" in direction Leibnitz and leave at station "Flughafen Graz"
- By bus:
- ... Busses leave in Graz at "Hauptbahnhof" and "Jakominiplatz". For schedule visit www.flughafen-graz.at.
Opening hours:
Terminal office: 0830-1630 lcl time.
Selfbriefing is available during Airport operational hours.

Graz is an international aerodrome with a high percentage of VFR- and Trainingflights including regular military flight operation.

NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES:
General see AD 1.1
1. Preferential runway system
To minimize noise landing on RWY 35 and take-off from
RWY 17 shall be performed (IFR and VFR flights) whenever
possible.
Between 0800 and 1800 local time, except sundays and
holidays, departures on RWY 35 are exempted from this
regulation.
2. According to the Austrian ordinance
"Zivilluftfahrzeug-Lärmzulässigkeitsverordnung ZLZV-
2005" (BGBl. II NR 425/2005) the following is
applicable:
Approaches and departures to/from Austrian civil
aerodromes are only permitted to be performed by
subsonic jet aeroplanes if the produced noise does not
exceed at least the noise limits specified in chapter 3 of
ICAO Annex 16, Vol I.
Additional Information:
- on principle glider flying and parachute jumping are permitted in the western area of the aerodrome only,
- preferably flying with power-driven aircraft is permitted in the eastern area of the aerodrome only (traffic circuits to the east).

2 grass runways, parallel to the concrete runway:
- RWY 17R/35L (Grass Runway West): length 760m
- RWY 17L/35R (Grass Runway East): length 640m
Temporary glider-area in the northwestern part of the CTR.
Several Aeroclubs and Flightschools for Glider-, Motorglider-, Ultralight aircraft, Helicopter, Parachutists etc. located at the airport.
