If you arrive by car, take the Flughafen-Landesstrasse exit "General Aviation" with parking area (limited parking zone) in front of the building.

General Information:

NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES: 
At Linz several residential areas are touched by air traffic. Please help us to keep the disturbance of the local residents by aircraft noise at a minimum. 
The published arrival and departure procedures for IFR and VFR flights are noise abatement procedures. All arrivals and departures are monitored by a stationary flight track monitoring equipment on a 24 hour basis. 
The arrival and departure procedures for IFR and VFR are published in the AIP Austria. Remember that flights executing a “visual approach” to RWY 27 from the south are required to join at least 3 miles final. 
Undue deviations from the published procedures will be brought to the attention of the concerning aircraft holder by the Linz airport authority. 
Attention: Linz airport may only be used by aircraft which can prove a noise certification according ICAO Annex 16 / Chapter 3.

Special IFR Procedures: 

General aviation IFR training flights to / from Linz shall be coordinated prior departure with the Approach Unit Linz, phone number: +43 (0)5 1703 6420.

Special VFR Procedures: 

Please consider the AIRSPACE STRUCTURE when flying VFR in the area of the Linz airport. Generally all VFR flights are subject to an ATC CLEARANCE when flying in the CTR Linz (SRA Linz). Flights from and to Wels which are entering the CTR / SRA Linz are subject to ATC CLEARANCE too.  

Clearances to enter/leave the CTR will be issued along the published VFR sectors. Contact LINZ TOWER on 118,80 in time before entering the CTR. Also set your Transponder on 7000 Mode C/altitude transmission or report a previously instructed code on initial contact.

Especially when executing a "short approach" or when turning off shortly after departure do not overfly buildings, other aircraft, vehicles or persons on the manoeuvring areas below 150m GND.

You will find the VFR Charts in the AIP Austria, AD, LOWL AD 2.24-9. Please be sure to use an up-to-date chart when planning your flight to Linz. 
VFR flights departing/landing from/in Linz have to file a flight plan (Even if you fly "NO ATA" to an Austrian airfield)! Flight plans can be filed in the Selfbriefing-room at the GAC or via internet (www.homebriefing.com).
