Permission to enter and operate in Austrian airspace

for aircrafts with restricted C of A

 

Foreign registered aircrafts with restricted flight authorisation generally require a permission to enter and operate in Austria according to LFG § 18. The application has to be signed by the operator.
The application should be submitted at least five full working days prior to commencing the intended flight 

Exemptions :
Aircrafts registered in an EU country with restricted C of A  granted  according EC 1702/2003 Subpart H which comply with ICAO Annex 8 need no specific entry permit.
Ultrallight aircrafts has to comply with specific requirements mentioned in the austrian notice to airmen ÖNfL I-B62/2001.

The application shall include the following details and documents (in German or English language).

  1. Purpose of flight
  2. Requested period of the permission
  3. Certificate of Registration
  4. Restricted or Special Airworthiness Certificate, Permit to Fly or adequate documents, including the restrictions, limitations and conditions
  5. Record / Certificate of last maintenance inspections, annual inspection (Airworthiness Review Certificate or equivalent)
  6. Noise Certificate , noise documents or exemption.
  7. Insurance according to LFG §§ 163 – 165, EC Regulation No. 785/2004.               

Additional documents and certificates may be requested after review of the application. The permission is obligated to fees.
