Permission to enter and operate in Austrian airspace
for aircrafts with restricted C of A
Foreign registered aircrafts with restricted flight authorisation generally require a permission to enter and operate in Austria according to LFG § 18. The application has to be signed by the operator.
The application should be submitted at least five full working days prior to commencing the intended flight
Exemptions :
Aircrafts registered in an EU country with restricted C of A granted according EC 1702/2003 Subpart H which comply with ICAO Annex 8 need no specific entry permit.
Ultrallight aircrafts has to comply with specific requirements mentioned in the austrian notice to airmen ÖNfL I-B62/2001.
The application shall include the following details and documents (in German or English language).
- Purpose of flight
- Requested period of the permission
- Certificate of Registration
- Restricted or Special Airworthiness Certificate, Permit to Fly or adequate documents, including the restrictions, limitations and conditions
- Record / Certificate of last maintenance inspections, annual inspection (Airworthiness Review Certificate or equivalent)
- Noise Certificate , noise documents or exemption.
- Insurance according to LFG §§ 163 – 165, EC Regulation No. 785/2004.
Additional documents and certificates may be requested after review of the application. The permission is obligated to fees.
