NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES: 
To minimise noise, landing on RWY 28 and take-off from RWY 10 shall be performed (IFR and VFR flights) whenever possible.

Storks at the AD.Especially APP sector RWY 10. CTN advised. (And as they do not know that they are migratory birds, they are here 365 days a year.)

Generally all VFR flights within the CTR and SRA Klagenfurt are subject to an ATC clearance. So please call Klagenfurt Toweron 118,1 in time and set your transponder on 7000 Mode C or the code instructed by ATC.
You can talk to Klagenfurt Towerin English or German.  

Please be sure to use an up - to - date chart when planning your flight to Klagenfurt.
VFR flights departing from Klagenfurt have to file a flight plan (or call via telephone or fax)!

Due to repeatedly misunderstandings regarding approaches, we would like to refer to VOL. II   AIP AUSTRIA, LOWK 2.22 Flight Procedures 3.1 Approaches a):
“Arrival routes end in the holding pattern. For further approach hold there if not received an approach or landing clearance previously.”
