Revised procedures for VFR flights in airspace Classes C and D - Transponder Mandate

WEF 28 DEC 2023 all aircraft within airspace Classes C and D are required to carry and operate an SSR-transponder.

This requirement was implemented due to changes in procedures for VFR flights in airspace Classes C and D (Details see: Austro Control GmbH - Revised procedures for VFR flights in airspace Classes C and D).

For further information please consult AIP GEN 1.5 (2.1.7) as well as NOTAM A2927/23 and NOTAM A2928/23.
