Certification

Our Citation Flight Navigation Procedure Trainer (FNPT II) ) is certified as a Flight Training Device (FTD 2) and Multi Crew Cooperation Trainer (MCC) in accordance with JAR-FSTD-A.

Technical Equipment

Our FTD is equipped with a Collins Pro Line 21, three tube Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS) which represents an advanced, highly integrated and symmetrical cockpit environment. An incorporated Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS / Honeywell Mark VIII) provides CFIT warnings and trains the flight crew to react properly. Furthermore our FTD has features like TCAS (ACAS 2 Change 7), Predictive Windshear capability and an Universal UNS 1 FMS (Flight Management System) Our Quality System ensures that the FTD (systems, database) is constantly updated. Our FSTD Operation Procedures ensure high availability and prevent “negative training” situations. 

Training Possibilities and Potentials

Almost all documented and possible abnormalities and emergencies which could occur in real life are programmed into our training device. This ensures that extreme procedures can be practiced in a simulated environment, without any risk to the crew and the aircraft. In this way inappropriate crew responses can be recognized, evaluated, and properly corrected. Procedures for severe weather situations such as heavy turbulences, icing conditions, or low visibility, with their various crucial operational considerations can be thoroughly practiced to improve pilot judgement and reinforce appropriate risk management.
